Most fear speaking in front of crowds - MARK has ALWAYS relished in it! Whenever teachers looked for a volunteer to give an oral report (OR ANY PRESENTATION, for that matter!) MARK'S hand was sure to shoot into the air for consideration.

MARK attended Central Michigan University and earned a B.A.A. degree in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts. It was also at CMU, where MARK met Mari - his future ex-wife! All kidding aside, it was in January of 1980 - just 20 credit hours prior to graduation - when MARK and Mari "tied the knot."

A couple of years later - the best part of their union arrived in May of 1982 - Andrew, their son, was born.

Unfortunately, like so many others, their knot wasn't tied as tightly as they had hoped…the marriage ended in divorce in June of 1986. Hence was born the phrase "BORN-AGAIN BACHELOR" that MARK coined when he first started doing standup. BUT WAIT!

Exactly WHEN did MARK get started with this whole "comedy-thing?"

He's certainly had a wealth of experiences with which to draw material from…

MARK got his start in professional comedy at an open-mic night at the New Chinatown restaurant in Albuquerque, NM; back in March of 1986! He honed his comedic skills in places like Houston and San Francisco - before he FINALLY ditched his "day-job" in September of 1988 and hit THE ROAD!

And WHAT a road it has been…
